I'd had enough of feeling left out when I was younger because I was weaker than all the other kids and couldn't keep up.  I didn't need a repeat of that in high school so I started going to the gym to pack on some beef and finally get back in the game.  To learn, I bought all the muscle magazines I could find and spent thousands of dollars on “miracle” weight gain powders that promised me huge muscles practically overnight.  After three years of training and taking pounds of powders every day, I’d barely gained 5 pounds.

By the time I started University, I was 6'2" and only 145 lbs. Dismayed at my still “lightweight” status, I became so focused and passionate about discovering the elusive secrets to unlimited muscle growth and rapid fat loss that I never went to my engineering labs and barely did any homework, and hardly studied for my exams .  Instead, I invested most of my time training, and devouring every nutrition, physiology, and strength & conditioning journal I could get my hands on.

I'm convinced that had I been enrolled in "Strength and Conditioning Training" University (which unfortunately doesn’t exist), I would have graduated with honors.  But I wasn't.

In the end, my decision to become a personal trainer was the result of failing out of University.  It wasn't that I lacked intelligence or a strong work ethic.  It was simply that I was on the wrong path.

My unstoppable determination and drive to build muscle and burn fat would lead me down a completely different life path.  I left University and sought work as a trainer in a gym.  Over the next few years, I continued going to the library to absorb as much information as I could about fitness, bodybuilding, fat burning and more.  I took as many personal training courses as I could.  I slowly built my reputation by training and dieting bodybuilders, fitness, and figure competitors for competition.

I'm proud to say that over the years my clients have competed in over 30 competitions, with more than half taking first place.
